A New Kind of Gathering Place

A modern bathhouse rooted in contrast and shaped by its connection to the elements.

Designed in collaboration with High, Low, Buffalo Architecture, the project transforms our site on Welton Street into a hidden garden within the city. From an elevated courtyard, Bøtik rises into a stepped landscape of saunas, cold plunges, hot pool, and open terraces.

Sunlight filters through the structure above. Water reflects and dapples the spaces below. Outdoor platforms open to the Colorado sky, with views of the city and mountains — creating a pocket of wellness within Denver and a true third space for ritual, restoration, and connection.

The Thermal Circuit

Creating contrast to find balance.

Person sitting barefoot near a stone-filled sauna heater holding a wooden ladle.

Hot.

Sweat it out in authentic Nordic saunas (180–200°), the eucalyptus steam room, or saltwater hot pools. Each warms the body and prepares you for contrast.

Person with tightly coiled hair tied back, submerged up to their neck in a wooden tub filled with ice cubes.

Cold.

Cold plunges (35–45°) deliver an immediate full-body reset. A quick immersion boosts circulation, sharpens focus, and revitalizes the senses.

Relaxed man with eyes closed leaning back on wooden benches inside a sauna.

Relax.

Quiet spaces to drift, reset, and follow the journey of heat and cold back to yourself. Rest, hydrate, and let your body settle into the rhythm of the ritual.
